As in we went on a trip to Hershey PA to see Millen’s beloved Wiggles in concert. This involved many exciting things, such as staying in a hotel. With a pool.
It also involved swimming in said pool with pink goggles and a beautiful shimmery pink bathing cap to match her pink swimsuit. And pink rash guard. And pink gel fingernail stickers. And pink water shoes.
I think you get the picture.
New clothes were also required: pink ruffly dress, pink sandals, pink glittery headband. You may be interested, and unsurprised, to know that her undies are also pink.
When The Wiggles came out on stage, she turned to me and whispered,
“My dream is coming true!”
And when they left the stage at concert’s end, she hugged me and said, “The Wiggles love ME!” So yeah, altogether a successful concert-going experience, I should say.
But little did we know what wonders were yet in store for us…
Outside of the concert hall we just happened upon one of The Wiggles’ closest personal friends, Caterina Mete, aka Dorothy the Dinosaur. She was so kind, took the time to chat, have her picture taken and even took Millen’s beloved (and bedraggled) Jeff doll inside to be signed by the Real Live Jeff Fatt. Oh joy! Rapture! Bliss! What more could a girl ask for?
Joy and bliss for mama too…. we were able to end our trip with a visit to dear bloggity friends Deanna and Rebecca, and their families, and their church. We had steaks on the grill and went sky diving (for realz!*) and finished it all off with the loveliest breakfast I’ve ever experienced. sigh.
Altogether a delightful experience, I must say. Mmhmm.
*Okay, so yeah, you’re right. Technically speaking, I didn’t actually do any sky diving. But I watched. And I cheered. And I ran out onto the field to welcome the sky divers back into the land of the sane. That’s gotta count fer sumthin’, right?
