So, I was thinking of getting my hair cut…

And I was contemplating giving one of these hairstyles a whirl. The one of the left is particularly striking, don’t you think?

oh. my.

Yes, this is a real album cover.

No, I’m not really thinking about cutting my hair.

Ha-ha-ha! Wonder if those girls are still around? If they are, I hope they can laugh along! ♥

Ooooh, that first one needs to come back! Dare you!

Ok, that was immature of me.

    I love your pretty hair.

    Funny post.

My aunt use to have the hair in the middle. My mom had the one on the right. LOL

We had a lady come to our church in Mexico. She had all that hair and hair spray. The flying roaches loved it. I think she almost had a nervous break down. LOL

    Have a wonderful day…♥

emily.. you know i probably would really love their music, Lord bless 'em☺

holly… oh, i hope so too. i don't mean any unkindness, in fact when i first saw this my mind went back to my 7th grade school picture. i had stick straight chin length hair (partly exactly in the middle,) brown tortoise shell glasses frames that were *perfectly* round (and huge!) and a polyester doubleknit pants suit. I was really stylin'… oh yeah. Thankfully no one else has access to that pic except for people who love me;)

becky… i imagine our styles today will seem as funny in a few decades. remember all the things we thought were so coool in the 80's? *gulp*

rebecca… flying roaches? oh my gracious! *horrors!* that poor gal!

ellen… when i was a young girl, this is how all of the oh-so-sophisticated high school girls dressed. and i thought they looked mighty fine… yipes!

    Diane,

You always make me laugh! I LOVE this look (though not nearly as much as your very pretty natural hair). No, I don't think you need a change.

    Rachel says:

Reminds me of my mom's engagement picture (although my mom was a bit less..flamboyant? ;-) ).

Please don't cut your hair. Oh, mercy, I almost had a heart attack.

Of course, I also was trying to figure out how the style of clothing you like to wear would 'go' with those hair styles…
    LOL

Wow. I wonder how they got it so big. I like the glasses, too. :)

    Diane says:

    ginger… ;) hehehe

karen… aren't those styles the greatest???

rachel… well polyester doubleknits, of course! and in colors not-found-in-nature;)

mrs m… tease, spray, tease, spray. i know this from watching my babysitter do her hair back in the day… i was in awe☺

    Ginger says:

My in-laws made an album like that when they were still dating. It included her sisters and younger brother. It's hilarious! Looking at the album cover you posted, I'm thinking I should ask my mother-in-law if she made a second album because the woman on the right looks suspiciously like her!

Incidentally, I think you're beautiful just the way you are! But if you are truly thinking of a haircut, the cut and color you had a couple of years ago on the t-board was extremely flattering!

    Clare says:

You might want to consider pairing that 'do with one of those killer outfits….

You did give me a bit of a turn with the title of your post, because I LOVE your hair, and would hate to see you give it the chop!!!

    hileldridge says:

I bet those girls sing really well because they weren't distracted by dating. At all. :) ~ Hahaha! xoxoxo

    Diane says:

ginger… i'd be really interested in what your mil had to say about this album cover- on a variety of levels. ;)

and yes, i really liked that hairstyle too! my hair is so white/gray now that coloring it is a tremendous pain… i need to retouch the roots every week. it has taken me years to grow out all of the colored hair and get it to this length. nothing short of a personal revelation from the Lord could get me to cut it at this point. and even then i'd need scriptural confirmation, lol.

clare.. yeah, those outfits are pretty hot, aren't they? i think they were homemade (which is wonderful!) but the topstitching on the one gal's yoke looks pretty uneven. all those hairspray fumes must have affected her perceptual skills;)

    hil… ha.. HA! hehehe
    nice to see ya honey♥

    Sondra says:

Oh, my. I was reading and thinking, "Is she serious? Maybe she really does want her hair like that. Surely not." LOL! Glad to see you were just kidding :)

    Barbara H. says:

I'm glad I didn't live in those times — my hair would have never stayed poufed!

  18. 18
    Diane says:

what sondra? you don't like those styles???
    hehehe;)

barbara… and my hair is so thick and straight, the teasing and spraying would have made it stick out like a very bushy porcupine, yikes! i think you definitely had to have the 'right' kind of hair for those styles.

    vivian says:

can you imagine!! I had cat eye glasses when I was a kid! and I loved them!

  20. 20
    Diane says:

why viv… i was thinkin' you'd look mighty cute with that 'do in the middle, and i'll bet we could find a pair of cat eye glasses if we rally tried.;)

    Lady Anne says:

Oh, Lord, have mercy! And to think we all looked "some swell". Just goes to prove that one decade's hot stuff is the next decade's hoot.

  22. 22
    Diane says:

lol lady anne… well said indeed!

    Lynn says:

Diane, my mom had one of those styles!! LOL. If you want to see how fashionable she was, check out this blast from 1965.

    Diane says:

oooh lynn, i *love* that pic! actually that gal's hair is kinda cute- not quite so flagrantly enormous as the gals on the album cover, lol. still a bit too much volume- and hair spray! for my liking;)
