My kids are kinda weird

I have no idea where they get this from.

No idea whatsoever.

Not the foggiest notion.

Sometimes a mother just feels so.. so.. proud.

This however, is not one of those times.
Oh my.

I suspect your kids are “kinda weird” too, huh? ;) Did you all have a nice holiday? Hope you took some time off from candle making to celebrate!

Weird, that is pretty normal stuff around here….

I can’t believe how tall Noah has gotten!

    Have a wonderful week!

    Jenni says:

Too cute! But seriously now…when did Noah become a man?!

    • Diane Shiffer says:

Jenni, he has grown over an inch a month for the past year, has gained about fifty pounds and yet his waist size has shrunk. How does that even happen??

I have to agree…Noah has grown up a lot this year…..or else you haven’t posted close up photos of him recently!

Such silly kids :-) Seems a bit like my home! And I agree, when did Noah become so tall?! My word….

    • Diane Shiffer says:

Sommer, the kid has been growing at an insane rate for the last year, but he made an incredible leap just in the last month. The family noticed a huge difference just since Thanksgiving….. :( I want my baby back. *sob*

HAHAHAHA! This is so great! Just to let you know, your kids aren’t the only ones who are ‘kinda weird’. My mother often looks at my brother and I in utter dismay. Oyez. :D

    • Diane Shiffer says:

Well Marlene, I am relieved to hear that, hehehe… send your mother my way. We can commiserate with each other!

Even with these poses…they look so grown up!

    • Diane Shiffer says:

Ellen… they really are getting all grown up, and I’m the one having a hard time, lol. It’s the first time in over a quarter of a century I haven’t had a “little one” in the house. I know your kids are all beautifully grown up now.. did you have a hard time transitioning out of these years?

Oh, Diane!! He’s a man!! I am already feeling it with Jael…but HE really has grown up. I mean, I really am in shock. Where does the time go? They really aren’t supposed to get GROWN!!!

    • Diane Shiffer says:

Serena, I’m pretty much in shock too. I’ve never seen a kid transform from child to almost-adult faster than this kid. He easily could pass for 15 or 16, and he just turned 13 less than a week ago, fer cryin’ out loud! And girls are so forward these days, he has run to the grocery for me and had girls follow him home…. I feel like going out to the sidewalk and telling them, “Sweetie-pie, he’s twelve years old. Go home. You really need to just go home now.” :/

      • Serena Abdelaziz says:

Oh, my!! This is NOT acceptable. :( Where did all the REAL girls go? Forward, ugh!!! Makes me sick. I have a feeling I may have a problem with my men, too! Thankfully Jael doesn’t have too much contact interaction with boys other than her brother, because at 9 she is already a young lady. Yes, Mommy is having a REALLY hard time with this. (so is Daddy…we are entirely TOO young to have old children)

    Serena Abdelaziz says:

Jael and I can no longer shop in the little girl’s section. In fact, when I get back to my pre-pregnancy weight she and I can share shoes and clothes. :( She will be taller than me next year.

ooh – I recognize that wallpaper in the background! From the Victorian bendable boy to learn the letters… We have the boy, the book, and have visited Colonial Williamsburg where it’s well documented. Now where did you find it as wallpaper?!? That is the coolest. thing. EVER!

PS – did that boy eat brussels sprouts all Summer and Fall? How’d he get so darned tall when he was just a little boy very recently?

    PPS – I’ve been blogging…

We have determined that this Noah kid is an impostor. An Impostor I tell ya… There is no way, that young man is the Noah that we know a year ago, ya know the little man…. No, this is a much bigger man. Hmmmmmm……
