He has taken to heading outside first thing in the morning with the camera in search of just the right picture. First thing in the morning after his cocoa and quiet time that is. Our pastor has a saying, “Bible before breakfast,” and Noah has taken it to heart.
“Does cocoa count as breakfast?” he wonders.
“Probably not, ” I assure him. “After all, I have my coffee and that certainly doesn’t count. Certainly not!”
Every morning Noah chooses one proverb from that day’s chapter and copies it out on an index card to carry with him throughout the day. Now, he was thinking… oh yes he was. He thought you all might appreciate having a little nugget of wisdom to carry along throughout your day as well. So we’ll be sharing his choice each morning as a new feature in my sidebar.
Look for it later today… but after breakfast, of course.

Noah has a good eye! Very good photos. I so enjoy your blog.
Nancy
I can't wait to see his choices.
My boys do this sometimes as well but if we are in certain parts of the Bible they tend to gravitate to the "funny" parts about the bones waxing and fat and such! Is Noah more high minded????
Tell Master Noah that that is a wonderful idea!!
I think Noah and my Thomas would be great friends. They do seem to think a like. I think writting a scripture down and carrying it with you all day is a wonderful idea.
Ya'll stay warm. We have had a little frost the last 2 days. Pretty good for Texas weather.
God Bless♥
A most excellent post!
Very cool Noah! I will look forward to that nugget! Now I'm off to read some good words since I've had my coffee!!
nancy… and i so enjoy having you come visit me☺
mama sew.. well i don't really know if one could rightly use the terms "high minded" and "10yo boy" in the same sentence. not even the boy's mama;)
rachel.. i'll do that!
rebecca… i used to write my verses on my forearm in ball point pen. i think index cards are a much better idea;)
thanks becky dear♥
ellen…we'd probably not get very much out of our quiet time in a pre-caffeinated state, anyway, right?
lol Noah is an absolute sweetie. I might snavel him for Ditz. You know most of the pictures on my blog she takes; I just happen to think they're so good they should be used. ☺
You are doing a great job, mama, encouraging your young ones to grow into Godly young people.
ganeida… my gracious wouldn't it be fun to be in-laws?! i could handle that very nicely. very nicely indeed:)
This kid is VERY thoughtful! Impressive. Good mommying I think has a BIG factor in his attitude.
I love the frost too. It means the end of fly season around here. I have a mean arm with the swatter and now I can catch a break!
julia my dear… i'll just bet you have a very impressive fly-swattin' technique;)
(and thanks for the sweet compliment too♥)
Gotta love Mr. Noah!
What a great picture…
Wishing you all tons of joy! ♥
