Sometimes a little sunshine is just what an ailing wee one needs.
or pet softly.
One might even have the energy for a bit of a spruce-up.
Oh my, perhaps that endeavor was just a bit too ambitious.
Soft pillows and shady porches are always welcome.
but best of all is a warm blanket, a trusted friend,
and a long nap.

Oh so cute! If we ever get a van and gas and oh a van and gas and the special needed money, I am commin to visit!
How wonderful, Anne is beginning to thrive, I take it. She looks pretty good. And so does Basil! He just needs his tops pinched out and a bit of sunshine.
Hooray!
mam
ginger… oh, we'd so love to have you all come! I'm almost tempted to come pick you all up:) oh, btw, our church is having a korean choir do a concert tonight, with a pot luck dinner beforehand. come if you can, ok?
mam… ok, proof once again that i am an utter dunce! i knew i was doing something wrong with basil, he's been getting so long and spindly. probably because i was taking leaves from the bottom, now i see i should have taken them from the top, which i'll do right away. i'm making a tomato-basil salad for the potluck so they'll be put to good use;)
I am so glad that your little 'convelesent' is on the mend. What sweet arms she has to lie in : ) By the way I love the name Millen. Where did you find it? Does it have a certain meaning/nationality? If this is too nosy a question just let me know. : )
Tcau,
Ash
Awww! You are so talented in how you let the pictures tell the story. I don't think you ever give yourself credit for that. Lots of love, hil

thanks ganeida:)
Thanks for the link to the post "My Precious"! She certainly is. This name is so sweet and gentle. One more little question: Do you pronounce Millen with a stress on the first or second syllable? One little tip on the kitty which you probably have already heard : ) You can give her 'wet tongue' baths with a wet (but wrung out) warm wash cloth. This helps to stimulate their digestion and general development in the same way that the mother would stimulate her. It help to overcome mysterious 'failure to thrive' symptoms in very young or abandoned baby animals. I raised 3 tiny foxes when I was 12 years old and the little 'baths' really helped them.
p.s. You must rub them with their fur not against it and be careful to rub their tummies as well!
Bye,
Ash
Anne is such a cutie! And I love that name for a cat.
~Bethany
ash… millen is pronounced with the accent on the second syllable, and the "i" has the long "e" sound. if you speak french or are at all familiar with the language, millen sounds very much as a french word "millenne" would sound… does that make sense?
and thanks *very* much for the tip on the "washing." i hadn't heard about anything like that, and was wondering how to replace that type of stimulation she would normally be getting:)
bethany… thanks! and it looks like you have quite the little cutie with you in your picture there as well;)
How much cuteness can one page hold?! Too precious!

thanks mrs a.b.:)
